You can feel that something has shifted. Maybe you're having the same argument on repeat. Or you've stopped having the argument entirely because it doesn't seem worth it anymore. There's a chance that things are mostly good, but there's a distance that wasn't there before, and you don't know how to close the gap and reconnect.
Online couples therapy in New Jersey and Connecticut helps you understand the root causes of the conflict you're experiencing so you can finally feel heard, understood, and seen by your partner.
How i can help
clients often come to therapy when...
You can't seem to turn off work when you get home, and it's starting to affect your life and family dynamics
You keep ending up in the same patterns in relationships and you're not sure how to break them
You're navigating the dating world and it feels exhausting and defeating
You feel trapped in a situation you don't like but you're not sure how to get out of it
You feel like you should be able to figure this out on your own, and you can't understand why you haven't yet
You have a full and successful life on paper, and you're not sure why that doesn't feel like enough
The good news? If any of these sound familiar, you're in the right place.
Imago couples therapy helps you talk without criticizing, listen without judging, and connect beyond your differences. It helps you go beneath the surface, past the blame, frustration, and defense, to truly understand what your partner is feeling.
When you argue, it's not because you don't care, it's because you're trying to be heard and understood. Imago couples therapy gives you the tools to listen, slow down, reflect, and feel truly seen by your partner.
I work with couples in all stages of relationships, from dating to engagement to newlyweds and long-term partnerships. Whether your relationship is monogamous, polyamorous, straight or LGBTQIA+, you're welcome here.
Your first session is 75 minutes. We use that time to get a clear picture of who you are as individuals and as a couple. We talk through what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to get out of our work together, and start to build your relationship vision. The goal is that each session feels both supportive and structured.
From there, we move into the Imago framework. A guided approach that allows you to clearly say what you've been trying to say, and hear what your partner has been trying to tell you, without blame, shame or criticism. Imago therapy gives you the tools to slow down, express yourself without it turning into an argument, and listen in a way that makes your partner feel genuinely understood.
I incorporate the core principles of Imago alongside cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychoeducation in a way that feels natural. We structure the conversation in a way that feels supportive for you as a couple. There's no such thing as getting the dialogue "wrong" or "being bad" at communicating. The most important aspect of therapy is simply that you're showing up for yourself and your partnership.
Many couples come to therapy for foundational work; to improve their communication and work through big life decisions. Couples therapy isn't just for couples that are about to break up. It's also to continue to build upon all the positives in your relationship, and create a more solid foundation for growth.
What are your session fees?
Session fees vary depending on session length and whether you are interested in couples therapy or individual therapy. Please contact me to discuss my session rates.
Do you only offer online therapy sessions?
Yes, I offer teletherapy sessions on a HIPAA compliant video platform to NJ and CT residents.
Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider, which means that I do not directly participate with any insurance plans. As an out-of-network provider, a super bill will be provided to you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, if you choose to do so. Many people have out-of-network benefits and can be reimbursed for psychotherapy services by as much as 50-80%, depending on the plan.

Here are some questions that may be helpful to ask your insurance company:
How do I make payments?
Payment is accepted in the form of credit card, debit cards, FSA, or HSA cards. Payments are due at the time of the session.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations and rescheduled sessions require at least a 24 hour notice. If you cancel or reschedule your appointment within 24 hours of the scheduled time, you will still be responsible for the full session fee.
What can I expect in the initial consultation?
The initial video consultation call is an opportunity to learn more about my practice, answer questions you may have, and to learn more about what you hope to get out of therapy. Together we will decide if my practice is the best fit for your needs.
Before we do anything else, we start with a complimentary 15 minute video call. It's a chance for you to share a little about what's going on, ask any questions you have, and get a feel for whether working together makes sense. If we decide to move forward, we'll schedule your first session from there.
This contact form is not monitored 24/7 and is not intended for crisis situations. If you're in crisis or need immediate support, please reach out to the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.
