About Erika

get to know me

I'm Erika, and I provide online therapy for high performing individuals and couples in New Jersey and Connecticut.

I've spent my career working with high achievers, C-suite executives, young professionals, and couples who are thriving in many areas of their life and quietly struggling in others. I often work with men for both individual therapy and within the context of perinatal therapy.‌

My style is direct, engaged, intentional, and a lot more conversational than clients often expect therapy to be. I'm in it with you, asking the questions that need asking, identifying the patterns, and making sure you leave every session with a takeaway.

Alongside the work we do together, clients often point out that there is plenty of room for laughter in our sessions. To me, that speaks to what therapy should truly feel like: focused, collaborative, and engaging.

One small shift can change everything

I've come to realize that most people don't fear failure.
They fear the things they want the most.

My job is to walk alongside you through the challenges. To help you see the things that are hard to see when you're in the middle of it, explore different perspectives, and build the life you want to live.

My Approach

Therapy looks different for each client

Individual Therapy
I work with high performers, c-suite executives, emerging leaders, and high level professionals. Much of our work centers on two things: boundaries and communication. Not just talking about them, but really understanding where boundaries need to be set, how to hold them, how to slow down your communication, and share your thoughts and feelings effectively.

Couples Therapy
I've always believed that one of the most fundamental human needs is to feel heard and understood. Not necessarily agreed with, just truly heard. That's the foundation of the couples work I do. Whether you've been together for two years or twenty, most of what brings couples to therapy is some version of a need not being met. When you argue, it's not because you don't care, it's because you're trying to be heard, understood, and seen. That's exactly what we work on together.

Perinatal Therapy
One of the most common things I hear from new parents is some version of the same question: who are we now that everything has changed? The transition into parenthood reshapes everything, including your relationship, your identity, and the way you show up for each other. This is a space for new and expecting parents navigating a transition that doesn't always get the support it deserves.

What you can expect when you work with me

Reliability

My clients will tell you there's a consistency to working with me that feels different. I show up on time. I follow through on what I say I'll do. It’s important for you to know when we work together, nothing important ever gets forgotten.

Familiarity

Sessions start the same way, with a smile and a few minutes of conversation that has nothing to do with therapy. It sounds simple, but it's intentional. It gives you a chance to settle in before we get into the work.

Follow Through

When it makes sense, I'll give you homework after our session. Sometimes it might mean simply staying curious about something we talked about. What happens in-between sessions matters just as much as what happens in them.

My clients and I share many similar values.

  • Hard work is a non negotiable.
  • Honesty matters, even when it's the harder option.
  • You deserve to show up for yourself the same way you show up for everyone else.
  • It's important to stay curious about what's possible, even when it feels uncomfortable.
  • Being vulnerable matters, even if it doesn't come naturally at first.
  • A strong belief that even one small shift can change everything.

I started Voyage Therapy because I wanted to create a practice that deeply serves my clients. That means working with a smaller caseload, with the right fit clients, and without the burnout that many therapists experience by spreading themselves too thin.

People have always fascinated me. The way we move through the world, the relationships we build, the chapters we navigate. I've always been drawn to understanding what motivates or demotivates individuals, what shapes the way we love and show up for ourselves and the people around us.

I understand how it feels to go through the tough chapters in life. I've had my share of grief and loss, of burning the candle at both ends, of knowing things needed to change but not quite being ready to change them. I can sit with you in a hard moment and navigate the depths of a hard challenge without rushing you through it, because I’ve felt the relief that happens when you take time to process it.

Reaching out is the first step.

Before we do anything else, we start with a complimentary 15 minute video call. It's a chance for you to share a little about what's going on, ask any questions you have, and get a feel for whether working together makes sense. If we decide to move forward, we'll schedule your first session from there.
